LYON, France – Zimbabwe striker Tino Kadewere has left French Ligue 1 club Lyon after just two years, joining Spain’s Mallorca on a short one-year contract.

The 26-year-old forward signed for the French top-flight side in 2020 from second tier outfit Le Havre and made an impression with his goal-scoring form for Lyon in his first season.

Kadewere’s form however took a huge dip in recent times, promoting rumour of a move away from France.

The arrival of Alexandre Lacazette from Arsenal has also resulted in Kadewere being pushed out to the periphery at Lyon, and a change of club was always imminent for the Warriors star.
