HARARE – Opener Reeza Hendricks cracked an unbeaten century while bowlers Glenton Stuurman and Junior Dala both took three wickets apiece as South Africa ‘A’ defeated a Zimbabwean select side by 92 runs to help the visitors complete a 4-1 victory in the T20 series.

The strong South African second-string side had already sealed the T20 series before the final match, but Zimbabwe XI, basically the bulk of the host’s first team, was hoping for a win on Tuesday to make the margin of defeat more respectable.

On Tuesday, South Africa ‘A’ totaled 212-2 in their allotted 20 overs, riding on Hendricks’ undefeated ton.

Other notable scorers were Ryan Rickelton (47) and Jason Smith (30).

In response, the Zimbabweans only managed 120-9, with captain Sikandar Raza top-scoring with 25.

Earlier on their tour of neighbouring Zimbabwe, the South Africans beat Zimbabwe XI 2-1 in the one-day series.
