Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton recruits another high-flying Zimbabwean engineer

HARARE – Another female Zimbabwean engineer, Samantha Nyikadzino, has soared after she announced joining Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.
The design engineer becomes the second woman from Zimbabwe to be part of Hamilton’s team. Stephanie Travers, grand-daughter of the late Zimbabwean football administrator Pat Travers, was signed by the seven-time World Formula One champion two years ago.
Nyikadzino made the announcement on Twitter on Tuesday:
“Today was an awesome day. Started as a Design Engineer for @MercedesAMGF1 and I’m pretty geeked!
Among those to congratulate her on Twitter were former Zimbabwe Sports Minister David Coltart, multiple award-winning South African actress Thembisa Nxumalo, prominent Zimbabwean journalist Ranga Mberi, among others.
